As the member of the International panel of independent consultants, ATES examined the problem of stability of slopes and abutments at Chamera Hydro Electric Project. A plan for monitoring slopes and intake structures has been suggested.

Seepage mitigation

The earthen dyke at Talcher Thermal Power Station showed signs of distress due to heavy seepage through the foundation. The problem was analyzed and remedial measures recommended. The implementation of the recommendation is being carried out under the supervision of ATES.
